Seed germination and physiological responses of quinoa to selenium priming under drought stress

چکیده
The early stages of quinoa germination are sensitive to drought stress. For this purpose, a study entitled the effect selenium in different concentrations on characteristics and some antioxidant enzymes under stress conditions with polyethylene glycol (PEG 6000) was investigated. first experimental factor seed priming (from two sources: sodium selenate nanoparticles: SeNPs ? 33.4 nm) at 0.5, 1.5, 3, 4.5, 6 mg·L?1 concentrations, besides, no treatment used as control. second PEG 6000 0, –0.4, –0.8, –1.2 MPa. Drought accumulation reactive oxygen species (ROS) had negative most measured traits. In seeds that were primed appropriate parameters enzyme activity well proline protein content increased compared control treatment. Under severe (–1.2 MPa), highest catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD), ascorbate peroxidase (APX) observed prime nanoparticles 6.0 4.5 mg·L?1, respectively. Concentrations higher than 3 photosynthetic pigments (stress-free) conditions. present shows can reduce harmful effects by altering properties biochemical properties.
